    WATER:

Drink pure healthy water with meals rather than beverages with sugar or sugar substitutes.

    WHOLE GRAIN FOODS:

Not all breads and pastas are whole grain. Make sure it says whole grain, not white flour.

    FRUITS & VEGETABLES:

Raw is best, but if you cook your vegetables, try steaming them. If you boil your vegetables, try to keep them crisp by boiling for less than 5 minutes. Also, try adding fruits & vegetables to the bake, broil, or grill cooking process towards the end to keep them crisp and healthy. You want to keep them digestive enzymes alive. Fresh picked raw fruits & vegetables are best, then frozen, and then canned and dried fruits. Try to stay away from fruits which are packaged in heavy syrup.

    MEATS:

Bake, broil, or grill your meats. Lean meats are better such as turkey, chicken, or fish. Red meat such as beef is fine in moderation, but does contain saturated fats which are unhealthy if eaten in excess.

    FATS:

The body needs some essential fats. For essential fats try to eat fresh fish, nuts and vegetable oils. You will also get fats from eating many other foods, but these are the healthiest.

    Flavor

Natural Herbs and Spices are a great healthy way for adding flavor to foods.
